Today students in kindergarten – 2nd grades enjoyed a guest author, J’miah Nabawi of Savannah.  Live Oak Public Library Foundation made the visit possible by coordinating the event with the media specialist.  Mr. Nabawi, a professional storyteller and folk-artist, kept the students spellbound as he retold several stories.  Students were invited to interact with the author as part of the program.  Students and teachers alike enjoyed an hour long performance, ending with Mr. Nabawi promising to send an autographed copy of his newest book once it is released.
